Overall, my stay at this resort was pleasant, particularly due to the cleanliness and the charming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which certainly added to the experience. However, I found the decor outdated and some of the breakfast options lacked variety. It’s a good value for the price if you're looking for a simple place to rest, but it could benefit from some updates.

While there were some good facilities, like easy hot water and clean showers, I wished for a mini fridge, which wasn't included in our cottage.

Carmel Resort Inn has a lovely secluded setting among beautiful trees, but unfortunately the condition of the rooms is quite disappointing. While some amenities such as breakfast delivery and pet-friendly policies are nice touches, the overall cleanliness and upkeep need significant improvements. It’s somewhat charming and quiet, but there are major issues that overshadow the positives.

Rooms
The room we stayed in was poorly maintained, with dirty carpets and an unpleasant odor. It felt more like a rundown motel than a resort. Rating: 3
Service
The service was frustrating; I struggled to retrieve a forgotten pillow and found the staff unhelpful and unresponsive. Rating: 2
Location
The resort is set in a peaceful neighborhood surrounded by lovely trees, which is a definite plus, but it's a bit of a hike from the town center. Rating: 7
Dining
Breakfast was delivered in a basket, but it was quite basic and unappetizing, consisting mainly of sealed pastries and canned juice. Rating: 4
Facilities
The outdoor BBQ and the pet-friendly aspect are nice, but overall the facility feels quite outdated with little modern touch. Rating: 5

I recently stayed in a charming cottage in Carmel for a family reunion and while the location was wonderful, I was disappointed by a few things. The cottages have a lovely idea, but unfortunately, they need better maintenance and attention to detail. On the bright side, the cozy cottages and breakfast delivery were nice touches.

I had a mixed experience during my stay, enjoying the quiet and calm of the cozy cottage, but faced some challenges with the amenities and service. The breakfast delivery was a nice touch, although there could have been more variety. Location-wise, it was a bit tricky to navigate, especially after dark, but it offered a peaceful retreat. Overall, it's a decent choice if you're looking for an affordable stay in Carmel.

Rooms

The cottage was cozy but on the small side, and the television seemed outdated. A pile of bark in the garden was a bit off-putting, but otherwise, it was a clean space.
Service
6.0
The delivery of breakfast to our room was appreciated, but it felt minimal. The staff could have been more accommodating regarding requests.
Location
5.0
Finding the resort was a challenge, especially after dark, as it’s in a rural area without clear signage. However, it was a very peaceful neighborhood.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast basket was a nice idea, but it would have been better with more than just one pastry per person.
Facilities
6.0
While the cottage had basic amenities, it lacked some modern touches, and the outdoor area could have been tidier.

We had a lovely stay in this charming place that felt like a cozy retreat in the woods. The suite was spacious with nice amenities, including a kitchen area, but the bathroom was quite dated. Breakfast was a treat delivered to our door, although it lacked variety. Overall, it was a good value for Carmel, but some updates would enhance the experience.

Rooms

Our suite was spacious and comfortable, featuring a kitchenette, fridge, and a nice fireplace that added to the charm, though the bathroom could definitely use some updating.
Service

The service was attentive, especially with the breakfast basket delivery, which was convenient and thoughtful.
Location

The location was in a quiet neighborhood, a bit of a walk to town but we enjoyed the tranquility it offered.
Dining

Breakfast was delivered in a basket, which was nice, but the options were limited and not very varied overall.

The hotel had some pleasant facilities like outdoor seating and BBQ areas, which added to the overall experience, although some parts felt a bit worn.
